The Quest: Conflict at Sea and in the Heart during the American Revolution
by Richards, David K.
Lieutenant Jason Broadfield, following family tradition of service in England's Royal Navy, in 1778 receives command of a small ship that carries him into the conflict of the revolt in the American colonies. It is an area he requested for personal reasons; an opportunity to search for his betrothed (Rachel Addington) and his brother (Matthew), taken prisoner by a Yankee privateer some years earlier. No word has been heard of either. He struggles as well with a deeply personal question of right and wrong regarding America's efforts toward independence; a debate between him and his father.
