1980. unbound. Scarce signed souvenir typescript from "The Conscience of a Conservative," a book published under his name in 1960 but later proven to have been completely ghostwritten by L. Brent Bozell Jr., brother-in-law of William F. Buckley. Six pages, 11 x 8.5 inches, double-spaced, no place, no date, signed circa 1980, in small part: "...I have been much concerned that so many people today with Conservative instincts feel compelled to apologize for them. Or if not to apologize directly, to qualify their commitment in a way that amounts to breast-beating..." Several small creases and wrinkles; very good(-) condition. American politician who was a five-term United States Senator from Arizona (1953-1965, 1969-1987), most often credited for sparking the resurgence of the American conservative political movement.
