Very clean internally. Very good. The Thomas W. Streeter copy, with his bookplate, and pencil notes on a front fly leaf. This is the first publication of the day-by-day journal kept by Major Long during a journey up and down the Mississippi River in 1817. Long's purpose was to explore the upper reaches of the Mississippi, describe the general topography, and also identify potential military sites.
