A decree compiled by a royal commission regarding education standards for Spanish- held Guatemala. It covers the topics of language, medicine, theology, philosophy, and civil jurisprudence. A list of approved authors is provided at the end of the decree and is signed by Carlos Luis de Urrutia, military commander of Guatemala.
