This classic travel poster by Robert "Bob" Peak is copyrighted to 1961, 1962 and was issued by the New York World's Fair 1964-1965 Corporation. Presented by Unisphere and United States Steel, it features a beautiful illustration depicting the spherical stainless steel Unisphere representing the globe in the background and a family of four in the foreground with a young girl holding balloons while the father is filming with a camera. The poster is in good condition with minor edge wear and some water stains over the bottom margin. Robert "Bob" M. Peak (1927 - 1992) was an American illustrator from Wichita, Kansas, most famous for his movie posters. Although he majored in Geology, he later joined the Art Center College of Design in L.A. His early work as an illustrator in the advertising industry appeared in many magazines. His movie poster work started with his poster design for the film West Side Story. Some of his popular work includes movie posters for My Fair Lady, Rollerball, Superman, Star Trek and some James Bond films. This is a beautiful example of his advertising work. (Inventory #: 266733)
