About very good with gutter cracked, pages modestly foxed, small pen mark on front fly, leather dry and chipped on ends, edges worn.
*The Claverings*: 1870. 211pp. Illustrated. Later issue of the first American edition. The First American editions have "1866" on title page even though it wasn't actually published until 1867. First serialized in the *Cornhill Magazine* from February 1866 to May 1867. This was the fourth and last of his novels published in the magazine.
*Won - Not Wooed*: 1871. 131pp. First American edition. Usually titled: *Not Wooed But Won*, first serialized in the magazine *Chambers's Journal*.
*The Race for Wealth*: 1866. 102pp. First American edition, published in the same year as the London edition. First published serially in a magazine. Mrs. Riddell was co-proprietor and editor of the *St. James's Magazine*. (Inventory #: 405929)
