One single issue of this late 19th-century periodical. Text consists of two poems and four short essays, mostly uncredited: Spring in Field and Wood (poem); An American Born Princess Who Still Shines in Paris; Senorita Lopez: The Handsomest Spy in the Federal Army; Memory's Pictures (poem, Velma C. Melville); Elton Ware; and A Great Picture [Munkacsys's Death of Mozart]. In spite of the title, this periodical appears aimed towards the housewife and new mother, containing five pages of ads for home products, medicinal remedies and the like. Large and nice wood engravings. Scarce.
