1840. Very good overall. Early New York candy maker's paper bag illustrated with blue steel engraving of the store facade at Chambers and Hudson Streets, where it was established in 1806. Engraved illustration showing the store front with large painted signs for "Candy Sugar Plums". Horse drawn 6th and 8th Avenue trolleys in the street, and customers flocking to the entrance. Verso with engraved illustration "Ridley & Co.'s Branch Store, 206 Fifth Avenue, Corner 26th Street, New York". A bit ruffled at edges, slightly marked with age spots. 6 1/2 x 11" (Inventory #: 22055)
