Paris: Le Terrain Vague, 1964. Original wraps. Very Good +. A solid, well-preserved copy of the uncommon 1st French edition of this seminal 1964 study of the great F.W. Murnau (director of the 1922 German Expressionist horror film "Nosferatu", among others) by Lotte Eisner. Clean and VG+ in its wonderful pictorial wrappers, with 3 small tape-ghosts at the front hinge (serving to re-inforce the already sturdy binding), just a touch of light soiling to the panels and very light chipping at the spine base. Octavo, crisp black-and-white photos thruout. A tight, impressive copy of a very fragile title. (Inventory #: 12357)
