(Easthampton, MA): Pennyroyal Press, 1977. Moser, Barry. Small quarto. (28)ff. From an edition of 200 copies, this is a lettered copy not noted in the Pennyroyal Checklist. Signed by both the author, Arthur MacAlpine and the printer, Barry Moser. Includes five wood engravings by Moser. Printed in brown and black on light green Ingres paper, top edge gilt and remaining edges untrimmed. In the Checklist, Moser claims this was the only other book besides Frankenstein that he "felt compelled to do," so moved was he by the power of MacAlpine's poetry. Bound by Arno Werner in quarter brown leather and burgundy paste-paper, with the title, year, press, and letter of the edition in gilt to the spine. Housed in the original slipcase. One tiny rub to the bottom of the spine, and a white spot to the slipcase, else fine. (Pennyroyal 17).
