London: Eyre & Spottiswoode, 1957. First UK edition. Hardcover. Very good/good +. 276pp. Duodecimo [19 cm] Green cloth-effect paper over boards with the title gilt stamped on the backstrip. The rear board is just a trifle splayed, and the bottom edge of the text block is foxed. There is a little foxing on the endpapers as well. The dust jacket is foxing (heavily on the verso). There are a couple of small closed tears in the edges, and the rear inside flap is creased. Despite these flaws, the jacket is still relatively attractive.
