Publisher's presentation plate to front pastedown "This special copy of The Man on the Box with the autographs of Mr. MacGrath and Mr. Dixey is presented to__________ with compliments of the Bobbs-Merrill Company." Also, there is a leaf of manuscript tipped in after half-title SIGNED Harold MacGrath/ Cape Vincent/ 1911. Two quotes from the text are written theron: "I am only a groom," said Warburton, simply.
