Yellow endpapers. A fine, bright copy in a fine, bright dustwrapper. The story of Peter and his wooden horse who comes alive. As Bader notes, Coward-McCann in 1928 was just starting a juvenile catalog from scratch. This title was spotted by Ernestine Evans in Oslo during a scouting trip. By arrangement with the German publisher, who saw to the printing, it appeared on the Coward-McCann list that fall. (Bader, "American Picture Books", p . 30-31.)This is an exceptionally lovely and unworn copy. It would be hard, maybe impossible, to find one nicer.
