Each volume in the publisher's dark-green textured leather, with beautiful gilt-bordering along each panel. New dark-red leather spine labels, professional strengthening at the hinges. Solid, tight and VG+, with its original marbled edges and marbled endsheets. Unifirm octavos, 144 exquisite hand-colored engraved plates, each illustrated page including 4 separate species. Internally, very clean, with each hand-colored plate in crisp, superb condition. A first-rate example of this early to mid 19th century collection of hand-colored botanicals.
