Fair condition only. The edges of the covers are rubbed. The underlying board are peeking through at the corners. There are numerous short closed and open tears in the cloth at the ends of the spine. The hinges are broken, and the text block is beginning to separate from the covers. The text block is cracked a couple of times. The endsheets and the title page have a former owner's name, a previous owner's notation, and multiple ink stamps. The pages are mildly yellowed. One p. has a small tape repair, and several pages have underlining. Traces the LDS church and the community of Nauvoo through the arrival of the Mormons to their forced expulsion. Flake/Draper 7367.
