Ex-library with no markings aside from ink stamp on front free endpapers. Spines faded, rubbing and some fraying to extremities, some corners exposed; inner hinges of many volumes weak, cracked, or detached, rear board of one volume completely detached. Interiors are clean and only slightly toned. Rough around the edges, but still a useful reference. Over 2000 B&W illustrations, with color frontispieces.
