1910. Naumann, Albert. Small quarto. (8)ff. This is a manuscript cut-figure book, illustrated by Albert Naumann, with each page cut into three sections so that one can make numerous combinations of faces. The pages are cut at the forehead and just above the mouth so that the appearance of a bored-looking man with a monocle and a mole can suddenly be changed with the addition of a curly head of hair, complete with a bird pulling a worm from the snarled depths, and a medal-encrusted general's uniform. All the figures are executed in pen and ink and colored with crayon. Bound in cloth-backed boards. Title label in pen, ink, and crayon, signed by Naumann, on the front cover. A few waterspots to front label, otherwise this unique and amusing manuscript is in fine condition.
