Tiny amount of old dampstaining along lower edges of some pages. Tan stapled paper wraps, 20 pp., 5 BW illus. Text is in French. Issued in conjunction with a March 1939 exhibition of work by Chinese artist Chang Shan Tse, known as the Tiger Painter. With an introduction by Andre Dezarrois. The exhibition checklist cites 112 pieces, and 5 are pictured here, including one tiger painting. The following month, Chang Shan Tse was in New York City to participate in the World's Fair. He died a few months later, on July 24, 1939, in China, of heart disease. This is therefore one of the last exhibitions held during his lifetime. A rare catalogue.
