A slim volume of 28 poems by influential San Francisco modern artist Anne Bremer (1868-1923), with a companion volume (as issued) of tributes to her by Charles Erskine Scott Wood, Oscar Lewis, Edward F. O'Day, Sara Bard Field, George Sterling, Witter Bynner, Stella Benson, and others. The tributes include poems by Field, Sterling, Bynner, and Benson. These two volumes were published for Bremer's friends by her cousin Albert Bender, one of the great cultural philanthropist in San Francisco history, in a handsome format designed and printed by John Henry Nash.
From the library of Morgan A. Gunst (albeit without bookplate or ownership markings), who undoubtedly was given this by Bender. (Inventory #: 27014)
