Paris: Ar. Guerinet, Ed. Handsome portfolio of 56 loose plates (as issued), laid into a pictorial cardboard chemise. The 56 quarto plates document various aspects of Ancient Egyptian art and 13 of the 56 are printed in rich color. Only the 1st plate shows staining (along the lower right corner); the rest are clean and bright and in fact almost all of the plates are pristine. The set was issued circa 1930 and the chemise has held up nicely as well but the spine is tender (though still sturdy) and the panels do show just a bit of light wear. Uncommon and impressive.
