Six leaves, pages 83-94, from "The Doom of King Acrisius" and "The Proud King" in The Earthly Paradise that offer a lovely example of the fine printing of the Kelmscott Press and of the impressive poetry of Morris. Pages 83-89 are the final pages of text for King Acrisius, with one ten-line decorated initial "W" on page 87, two six-line and several four-line initials. The title page and opening text of "The Proud King" are a double-page spread with beautiful decorated boarders and a twelve-line initial "I." Printed in red and black inks in Chaucer type on Flower paper. In near fine condition save for light browning to the bottom edge of page 83. PRI/051316.
