Folio, newspaper, illustrated, 33-48 pp. Some chipping, tears and soiling to edges. spine and margins, some creasing to front page, especially near middle column, occasional staining, normal aging and browning; otherwise about very good. This issue, which was published shortly after the Civil War, has some excellent illustrations, including a couple of cartoons by Thomas Nast. There is also a full-page illustration of American beauty, featuring headshots of women. Another full-page illustrations shows the sentencing of Eduard Ketchum for forgery. (Inventory #: 106240)
