New York: The Grolier Club, 1901. ORIGINAL EDITION, NOT A REPRINT. Softcover. VG, clean, tight contents. Covers a bit shelf-worn and fragile; Redwood Library (Newport, RI) stamp and intake date stamp of May 29, 1902 on front cover; similar stamps on title page. No other marks. Bottom half inch of spine missing.. Tan wraps with brown lettering and Grolier Club insignia. viii + 118 pp. with no illustrations. Untrimmed page edges. Clear acetate cover. The original catalogue from the Grolier Club exhibition of April 12 to 27, 1901. The catalogue is arranged in alphabetical order by artist's last name, followed by the work or works by that artist, with a brief annotation of each engraving, etching, and/or lithograph. With an introductory essay by Frank Weitenkampf. Listed are 510 works by women artists. All of the works originally constituted a complete collection owned by Henrietta Louisa Koenen and, after her death, her husband, J. Philip van der Kellen, curator of prints in Amsterdam, who added to the collection. Because the original owners lived and collected in Europe, most, if not all of the artists represented herein are European. The entire collection then was purchased by a member of the Grolier Club in 1884 and presented to the NY Public Library in 1900. Because of limited space, the exhibition at the Grolier Club showed only a selection of works from the 510 works.
