A Very Good copy in original publisher's blue decorated boards, just very light rubbing to the extremities and spine gilt a trifle dulled. Algernon Henry Blackwood (14 March 1869 - 10 December 1951) was an English short story writer and novelist, one of the most prolific writers of ghost stories in the history of the genre. THE EXTRA DAY, although aimed at (older) children, contains a mix of fantasy & supernatural and, perhaps because it was published during WW1, it is a little harder to find than many Blackwood titles.
