Bound in at back are 10 pages of text on the history and features of Santa Barbara. Folds into decorative red boards, stamped in gilt, cloth spine; minor soil on cover, illustrations in fine condition. 6" x 5" C.F. Heininger, established in 1881 as a San Francisco dealer in smoking pipes, seems to have sidelined as a publisher for a short time from 1885 to 1889. His advert for View Albums and Pacific Coast Guides, "Walking Canes and Fancy Novelties, of Native Woods and Big Tree Bark" appears on the rear pastedown of this viewbook. [Unrecorded by OCLC.].
