New York: The Heritage Press. Near Fine. 1970. Hardcover. Fine in Near Fine slipcase. Publisher's brown and beige boards with a swirl-marbled pattern, backed with tan cloth, with gilt title stamped (horizontally) at the top of the spine, top edges decoratively stained. Title page printed in black and red. A fine copy of the book -- clean and tight, with no markings of any sort. The brown slipcase is similarly clean and well-preserved. The copyright date of 1942 derives from the Limited Editions Club version, in which this design was first used. This Heritage Press edition is later than that, but earlier than 1970, when the Heritage Press issued a edition of this text with a completely different binding design, with the title lettered verically down the whole spine. .
