Misc. volume has marbled paper covered boards with brown leather corners and spine. Title label on spine. Boards are worn, scratched, rubbed, etc. Leather corners are rubbed. Spine is cracked, dry, and flaking. Part of title label is chipped. Moderate toning and scattered foxing to pages. Previous owner signature and date of 1880 at top of right front flyleaf. Contents include announcements of upcoming publications, books currently for sale, book reviews, English books, publishers catalogs, etc. The March 20, 1852 issue of the Literary World includes an advertisement for "Uncle Toms Cabin." The announcement states the book will be ready March 20 - Mrs. Harriet Beecher Stowe's Great American Tale, Entitled Uncle Tom's Cabin; or, life Among the Lowly. This Great Work, which has been long expected, is now so nearly complete, that we can promise its appearance on the 20th of March.
