Light rubbing and a few minor stains to boards, minor chipping to head of spine, corners bumped and somewhat worn, pastedowns loose and somewhat edgeworn, a bit of edgewear to preliminaries and final few leaves. Moderate toning to text, a bit heavier in places, negligible worm track to title page and following two leaves. Early signatures and doodles to endleaves, interior otherwise clean. * Early edition, one of two otherwise-identical imprints by Harris, the other with imprinted date 1703. First published circa 1680-1682, this classic layman's guide reviews, from a Whig perspective, the principles of English law and government.
