Français! [German WWI propaganda leaflet printed in French].
Berlin: s.n., 26 July 1916 Single beige leaf, printed in black. Good, with some loss and chipping to the edges not affecting the lettering, small hole to the top margin, creasing and some light tearing at the folds, light soiling. A scarce piece of WWI ephemera. This leaflet is a French-language piece of German propaganda encouraging the French people to cease their war with Germany. Specifically, it addresses the French aerial bombing of Karlsruhe, which resulted in many civilian casualties, including the death of many innocent women and children. It then blames the French Prime Minister Raymond Poincaré, who the author argues is a puppet of the English government, for participating in the English barbarism that obliged Germany to retaliate.. Good. (Inventory #: WWI005)
