Condition: Most have a matte-surround, usually attached to a backer via corners or top, loosely; quality of the works varies, from the very detailed and finely-drawn & finished, to quick caricatures; a few of the older items' paper darkened, spotted, worn.Several of these portraits were used in the book 'Portraits of Poets' by Rose Graubart, 1970, Tennessee Poetry Press, Martin Tenn. (copy of the book provided); Usually the portraits are identified beneath the image, signed and occasionally also dated by Rose Graubart Ignatow (1914 - 1995) wife of David Ignatow, artist, poet, and author; an interesting and comprehensive portrait gallery of poets in the mid-twentieth century period. .
