A small octavo measuring 8 by 5 inches with illustrated end sheets. The cloth on the spine is well tanned and there two areas on the fore edge of the front board that have stains. There is a prior owner's name and date of "1929" at the upper edge of the second free end page. In a near fine, unclipped dust jacket with a 3/4 inch closed tear at the upper edge of the fold to the front flap. Overall this is a very handsome jacket. Signed by the author on the fly title page and dated "April 3 1929" at "Terre Haute". 235 pages of text. This was Wilder's second novel which won world-wide praise and the Pulitzer Prize for fiction in 1928. (Inventory #: TB28682)
