This scarce volume describes the life of the architect, winner of the Prix de Rome (1890), and best known for his Neo-Classical buildilngs including the Kérylos villa in Beaulieu-sur-Mer and his illustrated surveys of classical architecture in Greece, Italy and Asia Minor. The formal plans, fanciful sketches, and more casual landscapes reproduced in this volume attest to his adept blending of a conservative education with the modern philosophies and styles of the early 20th century.
