Budapest (Ma Kiadása) 1918. Szélpál was a member of the Hungarian avant-garde movement which included Lajos Kassák and László Moholy-Nagy. Bortnyik was a Hungarian painter and graphic designer greatly influenced by Cubism, Expressionism, and Constructivism. He served as director of the Hungarian Academy of Fine Arts from 1949 to 1956, and founded a workshop in Budapest adhering to Bauhaus principles. He is perhaps best known for his advertising posters including images he designed for Modiano Cigarettes. As of March 2016, WorldCat locates two holdings of this title in North American libraries.
