I-L) and Northern Schools (pls. LI-LVII), incl. those by Desiderio da Settignano, Donatello, Luca della Robbia, Verrocchio, and Michel Colombe. Photographs in fine condition with exceptional clarity and contrast, rag paper sl. toned with deckled fore and bottom edges, preliminaries a bit soiled. Large folio. Cloth, scuffed and soiled, some separation at front hinge. London (Privately printed) 1930. From the edition of 24 signed by the printer, ex-libris John Pierpont Morgan, small armorial bookplate front board verso, signed dedication from Duveen to J.P. Morgan librarian Bella da Costa Greene on flyleaf. This scarce volume is one of several that Duveen used to publicize his acquisition of the renowned Dreyfus collection of fine and decorative arts.
