(London): Dean and Son, 1848. 16mo. (14) pp. (Wrappers included in pagination). Illustrated with twenty-four colored woodcuts. Begins with "an Angler, and he a fish caught", and ends with "the zebra, from lands far off here." There is no illustration for the letter X, which "is a mark to denote good strong beer." Rare: this copy seems to conform to a single institutional copy held at the University of Texas, Austin. Pale yellow glazed wrappers show a wood engraving of an elephant on the upper cover, and an advertisement for Dean's 2 Pence colored books, of which this is one. Wrappers show some soiling and creasing. Overall very good or better.
