(422, 342, 442) of the second series published of the Spanish architecture journal, published annually, under the editorial direction of Manuel Vega y March, containing essays and articles on architecture, engineering, and fine and decorative arts in Spain and abroad, topics include architectural tradition, contemporary Spanish architecture, religious architecture, and architectural styles and specific examples from all over the world, advertisements, technical sections with extensive indices of architects and artisans. Profusely illustrated throughout from photographs, floor plans, elevations, and drawings, primarily black and white with a few color illustrations. 4to. Orig. cloth boards. Spines shaken, some rubbing especially to extremities. Barcelona (Establecimento Gráfico/Thomas) 1917-1920. Arquitectura y Construcción began publication in 1897, first appearing biweekly until 1901, when it switched to a monthly format. In 1916 the first series ended, and the second series began in 1917 with a single volume appearing annually. As of July 2016, WorldCat locates four holdings in North American institutions, one of which is of only one volume.
