The spine is a bit rolled, and the spine ends are gently bumped. The dust jacket is lightly toned and soiled, and has a number of closed and open tears in the edges. The deepest tear is closed, and measures 1 1/2" deep. From the dust jacket- "'For some six hundred years,' writes Lynd Ward, the famous book illustrator, 'there have been woodcuts and there have been artists, but only occasionally during the course of those centuries has there occurred the sensitive fusion of man and material that results in significant woodcut art.
