by [African American Filmmaking]: Norman, Richard [filmmaker]
[Jacksonville, FL: Norman Studios, 1926. Never folded 6 x 9" leaflet. Near fine, as usual. A pictorial four panel herald promoting silent filmmaker Richard Norman's film, billed as "The Greatest Airplane Mystery Thriller Ever Produced" in "Six Smashing Reels." The all African American cast co- starred "Kathryn Boyd, Female Daredevil, Lawrence Criner of the Original Lafayette Players, supported by a professional cast including the famous Boise De Legge, Harold Platts, Lions Daniels, Sam Jordan, Geo. Colvin, Dr. R.L. Brown and Steve Reynolds (PEG)." The herald features text and vignettes of scenes from the film. A large remainder of Norman film promotional paper has significantly increased the current availability of posters and heralds that otherwise would be presumed perishable and scarce.
