Very near fine in dark blue cloth covered boards with gilt text stamping on the spine and a blind embossed title on the front board. There is a 1 inch by 3/4 inch white paint (?) stain on the top edge of the text block with a neighboring 1 inch long white stain to the upper edge of the rear board. These two issued due not impact on the printed text of the book. The front and rear end papers are decorated with separate maps detailing the travels of Wiswell's and Thomas Buell's travels through Long Island, Pennsylvania, Virginia, North and South Carolina. In a very good+ dust jacket with the price clipped from the front flap with light rubbing and wear to the ends of the spine area and the upper fore corner of the front panel. As is typically seen, the light brown background of the jacket's art has been sun faded to a uniform light green.
