A small quarto measuring 10 by 7 inches with minor bumping to the lower edge of the spine and to the upper fore corner of the front board. Without a dust jacket. The book contains a gift inscription from the son of one of the crew members on this cruise which reads: "A souvenir of my South American Cruise to Mother and Billy with love from Ernest. The six page list of crew members indicates that this inscription was written by Ernest Snow. 89 pages of text illustrated with a black and white photograph of Hoover and the then president of Chile and with photographs throughout.
