This lovely c.1930s map of Brooklyn covers the entire borough in beautiful detail from the Dead Horse Inlet north to the Newton Creek and includes parts of lower Manhattan and Queens. Exceptionally detailed, the map notes individual streets, parks, cemeteries, subway lines, streetcar and bus lines, ferry routes, piers, bridges and other features. An inset in the bottom right includes a sub map of the eastern portion of Brooklyn. Originally issued as part of the "Red Book Guide" series, this map is engraved and published by the Interstate Map Company. The map is in good condition with some wear along the original folds. Some damage and loss near top and right folds, has been cleaned and restored. Map is flattened and lined with archival paper. Red Book Guide not included.The Interstate Map Company was a Newark-based map-publishing establishment known for its city maps and directories.
