1754 · Glasgow
by Fenelon
Glasgow: printed and sold by Robert and Andrew Foulis, 1754. 8vo, 2 vols., pp. [2], 256; 100, [8]; bound with: Fenelon. Fables composed for the use of the Duke of Burgundy. 1751. pp. iv, 107, [1]; contemporary mottled calf, gilt rules, red speckled edges; joints weak tender, spines worn and cracked, book plate of Wadham Wyndham Esq.; good. It is likely that the Fables of 1751 were always intended to accompany the Dialogues, as without them the fables called for in the later's title pages are not present. Gaskell 191, 270.
