Signed, numbered and framed pen and ink caricature of Franz Liszt
by LEVINE, DAVID
Levine's portrait of an oversized Franz Liszt seated at an undersized piano appeared in the "New York Review of Books," "The New Liszt" February 5, 1981. Our signed illustration is framed in silvered wood and archivally matted to measure approximately 17 x 20 inches. Illustration House Provenance noted on frame back. Previously framed in non-archival material. Yellow acid stain around left and right margins comes from prior framing. Levine drew the caricature to the lower and right edge of the paper. The stain goes over the end of Liszt's hands on the right. Inquire about price reduction. (Inventory #: 4203)
