TREATISE ON THE LAW OF PRIVATE CORPORATIONS AGGREGATE
by Joseph K. Angell; Samuel Ames
Boston: Little, Brown and Company, 1858. Sixth Edition. Full Leather. Very Good binding. This edition issued in the years immediately before the upheaval of the Cvil War, Angell & Ames is a legal treatise that provides a window into the way American corporations functioned in the boom years of the first half of the 19th century. Bound in sheep with morocco label. Previous owner name on the pastedown; lacking the endpaper. The volume opens to the 4 leaves of publisher's ads for law books, followed by a blank leaf, and then the title page. The spine shows loss, and the boards have been reattached, but this is a sturdy and serviceable copy of the 1858 edition. Very Good binding. (Inventory #: 276135)
