An important early American premillennialist work from Spalding (1760-1825), who had studied under Jonathan Edwards and Samuel Hopkins; Sentiments was later republished by Joshua Himes in 1841 and 1842, and had an important influence on the early Millerite Church. Early ink autograph ownership inscription for the Proprietors of the Social Library in Parsonfield [Maine?] on the front paste-down. Evans 31225; Sabin 88893.
