An important and substantial collection of literary fragments left by Walt Whitman, many of which pertain to early drafts of Leaves of Grass. Notes and Fragments is a surprisingly scarce book. This is the first copy we have handled in 35 years, and we could find only one copy listed in the first 46 volumes of Bookman's Price Index (Ximenes, Cat 54, 1980). (Inventory #: 27189)
