Lewis, Finch Lane. 1 vols. 8vo. Gosden Binding. A superior copy of a Compleat Angler bound by Gosden, and with excellent provenance, from the library of Dr. Samuel W. Lambert (1859-1942), a noted New York physician, bibliophile, and angling collector, and a member of the Anglers' Club of New York. His collection included the 1675 chalk portrait of Walton by Edmund Ashfield. He was author of When Mr. Pickwick Went Fishing (1924), and was closely involved with the New York Academy of Medicine, forming its rare book collection while president; he also organized the 1934 Bremer Presse reprint of Vesalius from the original blocks.
