Bloomfield, From one fisherman to another, Yours Sharkingly, Capt. W. E. Young." 8vo. 287pp. Illus. (b/w plates). Thrilling tales of catching sharks all over the world, complete with inscription from the great shark hunter (and author) himself. Inscribed to Howard Van Lieu Bloomfield (1900-1998), who went on to become the author of Sailing to the Sun (1946), Last Cruise of the Nightwatch (1956), and The compact history of the United States Coast Guard (1966). Howard Van Lieu Bloomfield was a graduate of Harvard (1922) who was a journalist and author. He died October 18 in Portland, Me. Nice association copy.
