New York Rinehart & Company, Inc. 1958 Hardcover First Edition VG+/VG+ Octavo. Black cloth spine and boards. Light bumping at the head and tail of the spine with light accompanying rubbing. Light rubbing at the tips of the corners. 96 pages. Dust Jacket - has a fair amount of rubbing at the head and tail of the spine and at the tip of the lower front corner. Light accompanying wrinkles at the head of the spine. 1/4" chip in the tip of each of the corners. Some flaws (as noted) but still has nice overall appearance. Uncommon.

boards : Common term for the covers of a hardbound book.
rubbing : Abrasion or wear to the surface. Usually
used in reference to a book's boards or dust-jacket.
dust jacket : A protective and often decorative wrapper, usually made of paper which wraps around the binding of a book.
octavo : A book whose page size is approximately 12 inches by 9 inches. The size is based on a sheet of paper 25 inches by 38 inches, the size of paper traditionally used by book printers, which has been cut into eight pages.
spine : The outer portion of a book which covers the actual binding. The spine usually faces outward when a book is placed on a shelf. Also known as the back.
bumping : Indicates that the affected part of the book has been impacted in such a way so as to cause a flattening, indention, or light bending.
tail : The heel of the spine.
Fair : is a worn book that has complete text pages (including those with maps or plates) but may lack endpapers, half-title, etc. (which must be noted). Binding, jacket (if any), etc., may also be worn. All defects must be noted. (defined by AB Bookman's Weekly)
Cloth : Generally refers to a hardcover with cloth covering the outside of the book covers.
