Paris Crapelet; Baudry's European Library 1837 Hardcover First Paris edition 303pp. Octavo [21.5 cm] Colorful, decorative boards three-quarter bound in brown calf, with a green leather gilt stamped title label on the spine. Speckled edges. Very good. The covers and spine are rubbed and slightly mottled. There are numerous scratches in the leather and paper of the spine and covers. The corners of the covers are gently bumped. The spine ends are darkened. There is a 1 and 1/2 inch crack in the leather at the head of the spine along the rear joint. Foxing throughout. The book is sturdy. Half title page lists this as Vol. CXCIII in a Collection of Ancient and Modern British Authors.
